FILM CONTROL 8100
For thickness measurement on extruded or rolled film in plastics and rubber, the series FILMCONTROL 8100 is available with various measurement technologies. It is based on the principle of combination sensor systems and can be adapted most easily. Consequently, numerous types of materials and surfaces can be measured. All the methods feature high dynamic response and spatial resolution. In contrast to radiation measurement methods using isotopes and X-ray radiation, FILMCONTROL is better environmentally and offers substantially more conomical process costs. The series 8100 is designed for Extruded and rolled film - Unvulcanized rubber - Foam materials Other system properties: - Dynamic measurement with high accuracy and high spatial resolution. - Temperature stability through online calibration - Environmentally friendly measurement techniques, no use of isotope or X-ray radiation - Extensive analysis software for running under Windows Combination sensor system EO ( eddy-current - optical sensor) Field of application: Multi-layer ( coextruded) film The combination sensor system EO 14 acquires the top of the film with a laser micrometer. Simultaneously, the eddy current sensor measures the surface of the roller and, by implication, the bottom of the material. The thickness of the measured material is determined by taking the difference between the signals. Combination sensor system EC ( eddy-current - capacitive sensor) Field of application: Homogeneous, single-layer film The combination sensor system EC 5 consists of a capacitive and an eddy current displacement sensor which are accommodated together on one axis in a sensor housing. The eddy current sensor measures the distance to the measurement roller and therefore compensates for changes in the mechanical measurement setup, whereas the capacitive displacement sensor acquires the material thickness without making contact. Combination sensor system ET ( eddy-current - triangulation sensor) Field of application: Foam material With the combination sensor system ET 12 a precision ceramic ball with a low load pressure is passed over the material. The ball is acquired with the triangulation sensor which then indirectly measures the surface contour of the material. The eddy current sensor in turn measures the top of the roller.
